Italian Genealogy
As a third generation Italian-American, I have done a lot of genealogy which included sending requests off to Sicily in Italian. Although, I did not know a word of Italian when I began my quest to look for my ancestors, I soon learned a few important words, and then a few more, and before long, I was writing without a translator.
My quest led me in many directions at first, but once I realized the provinces my ancestors were from, it helped to single out and find some long lost cousins. What a blessing my genealogy research has been. I have connected and found cousins right here in my city and now we have regular get togethers.
I hope that this will inspire you to start or continue on your research of your genealogy. I also hope that you will tell me about your research as this blog evolves.
